I have a colleague I talk to at work, but only through messages and the odd email. When I found out I was going to be out at her building, I told her maybe we could meet?
So we made arrangements, and the day came where I was there and walked up to her desk. "Hi! I'm [76starships]. It's nice to finally meet you."
And then it set in. This was a meeting of two introverts. We spent all our energy getting this far. What do we do now?
Realizing the silence, I broke it with what I was thinking. "This is what happens when introverts meet." I joked. It helped and we chatted for a few minutes. And we had lunch the next day. Finally though a face to a name.
