I Am An Introvert

I am the youngest childrens of my family of 10.

I have to struggle to cope with this big family as I am an introvert. I always need a quiet room or at least a cushions with a book to take a break from 'people'.

who else face this struggle. share with me. I want to know more of how to live better with a big family.

I grew up with five other siblings. I am the second youngest, and the most introverted out of everyone. We are all older and moved out now, but we do get together often as a family. I am comfortable around them, even when we celebrate birthdays and have dinners. For me honestly, the ONLY time I am loud and crazy is when I am with my siblings. The only times I feel the need for a break are when other people are over as well (parent's friends, etc) and the crowd is bigger. When it is people other than my family, I close myself off. Of course, my family isn't as big as yours, so it makes sense you might feel that you need a break from them.

I am an introvert but I guess an extroverted one and I am quite comfortable with my family at least. I sit with family often but mostly just listen and not say much. I don't know if you can just sit with them quietly, if they allow u to remain quite LOL. I don't know if I can offer much help but I how it's like to be a part of a big family.

I would feel comfortable with my family too. but when they leave (for example went to work) leaving only 1-2 siblings with me at home, I feel MORE COMFORTABLE. I could do the house chores and anything with more comfort.

I never realized this when I was younger (because I didn't do the house chores). but now I do. I feel like, introverts has to struggle in every groups of people & always need a retreat shell. Even with family, a big family indeed.
