I Love Horror Films

total horror geek!!! 👿👹👻🤓

My top 10 Horror Movies...

1. The Omen (1976)
2. The Wicker Man (1973)
3. Rosemary's Baby (1968)
4. The Sentinel (1977)
5. Halloween (1978)
6. The Exorcist (1973)
7. The Shining (1980)
8. Jaws (1975)
9. Night of the Living Dead (1968)
10. Carrie (1976)

I include the dates for 2 reasons - firstly so as not to be confused with any shit remakes, secondly - to illustrate the point that the 1970s (+/-2years) is by far the greatest decade of horror movies!
Have you seen "Ghost Story" (1981)?
I thought you might enjoy it.

My favorite on your list is Night of the Living Dead for two reasons.

1) It’s the most nostalgic as it was the very first horror movie I watched.

2) I grew up on a very, very similar ‘farm’ and after watching it, I was so scared when it got pitch dark wondering when the dead would be coming.

😱

I have to agree that in general the 70s were the golden age of film. Horror and drama.... and I am thrilled you included the original Wicker Man... go listen to that song "Willows Song" haunting and brilliant.
Ravers90 · 31-35, F
@Serpico yeah i watch the wicker man every may day!
is it just me or are the movies now more dependant on special effects that plot and suspense?
Ravers90 · 31-35, F
@approachingmyexpirationdate yeah totally, seem to have lost the art of storytelling, I reckon its just part of the dumbing down of society
