I Want To Write My Random Thoughts And Feelings

Arabic is such a beautiful language.
Not that I didn't know about it's beauty but I've never had a full grasp of it until I started learning "صرف" "sarf" which give me an entire different picture of Arabic language. Ever since I started learning this subject I fell in love with Arabic even more. When I was a beginner at learning this language I was about to give up because it's challenging and to take note I am learning classical Arabic. Grammatical structure was a headache for me as well. "نحو"
So what is sarf? I don't know the English meaning of it or if it even exist in English language, but I can give you an idea of what it is.
Linguistically, it's "changing something or turning it"
Technically, it's changing the source word into different forms in order to express different meanings that can only be expressed through those forms.
The basis of it is the word "فعل" and it can change into different scales.
I'll give you an example, the scale: افْعَلَّ، يَفْعَلُّ، افْعِلالاً and this scale disscribe exaggeration or color or imperfection.
So any word that fall under this scale you'll have an idea of what that word mean even if you don't know the exact meaning of the word.
This is just one scale, it's just a glimpse of this beautiful language. I hope by learning this "صرف" I can start writing poetries in Arabic, because unlike English, Arabic poetries are all on scales.
I'm so madly in love ❤️

Execellent job!! Sarf is the linguistic discipline of morphology.

I hope you always enjoy the language.
@Miram thanks Miram.
