I Want To Write My Random Thoughts And Feelings

'I'm just being me' is all well and good.
And a person should be themselves unapologetically. Kudos.
Except when that is hindering self accountability and responsibility for what 'being themselves' affects in their surroundings, people and otherwise.
That is something to be apologetic about, when its negative. And something to work on to improve on 'being me'.

Ah but if I say “I tell it like it is!” then nobody is allowed to get mad at me no matter what nasty nonsense I spew, right?
SW-User
@KingofPizza2 bring it on. I will report you and write stories about you. 👀
KingofPizza2 · 36-40, M
@SW-User Well this is starting to sound fun actually! Except people will think it’s serious and take things too far.
SW-User
@KingofPizza2 Lol I was just thinking that.

I hope people know we be buddies.
SW-User
Personal accountability is seen as a negative, these days. "Being me" has all the hallmarks of this trend, it is just a very convenient excuse to not change.
SW-User
@SW-User Agree. This applies to me as much as anyone else. It's so easy to fall into the hype of 'being me' that we can forget its not always a good thing.
SW-User
@SW-User I honestly can't understand why anyone is so resistant to listen to reasonable criticism of their actions.

In fact, the most successful people I've ever met had one odd trait in common. They hated themselves, at some low point of their life, and that was part of the driving force behind wanting to and succeeding at becoming better people.
SW-User
@SW-User The most successful people, the CEOs and such, tend to be narcissists. Narcissists cannot handle criticism.

And everyone to an extent has an ego that cannot handle being criticised. Its up to us to work on that.

Agreed. If your "I'm just being me" is negatively impacting others then it's time to make some changes, if possible.
SW-User
@TheGoodGuy 😁 Lol I assure you I don't smile this wide willy nilly in real.
TheGoodGuy · M
@SW-User Lol. I'm honoured 😊
HannahSky · F
Agreed. Being yourself really doesn't mean that it's ok to be harmful to others or just plain awful. We can be ourselves and still be accountable for our actions.
SW-User
@HannahSky yes. Thank you
SW-User
Perfectly said.
On a related note is people who think it’s ok to be complete nasty bastards by stating that they “own it”..oh-that’s ok then. WTF
SW-User
@SW-User 😂 yes!
I don’t owe you one single thing.
SW-User
@Spoiledbrat You don't.
I don’t owe anyone else anything either. People might tell us we owe them something but we really don’t. @SW-User
SW-User
@Spoiledbrat Honestly, everyone is responsible for themselves. If they think they're doing something for someone else, that is their mistake.
This post is made predominantly for myself. These are my thoughts.
That I then share with anyone else open to accepting them.
What they do with it, is none of my concern or care.
I am mostly interested in improving myself.

The only time I care about how someone is, is when I care for them and they impact my life.
