What Are the Best Historical Movies? [I Love Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream]

The more historically accurate, the better.

Truth is stranger than fiction, and way more interesting.

Casualties of War. Blood Diamond.
Black Hawk Dawn.
Titanic (just ignore Jack and Rose). The rest is almost accurate slightly altered incident by James Cameron for the sad vibes.

I'd choose Pearl Harbor too but the triangle love would ruined your vibes.

Zero dark thirty. Not far back in history but accurate.
uncleshawn · 41-45, M
@tallpowerhouseblonde Saw it. It seemed like it was meant to be accurate, but I didn't know for sure. Thanks for confirming.

6 Days. Recent history but good
uncleshawn · 41-45, M
@Katabasis I'll have to check it out. That one slipped by me, too.

I liked Hacksaw Ridge
uncleshawn · 41-45, M
@SW-User That's a great movie. Respect to Eastwood for making that into a movie. The part about soccer-kicking the grenade didn't happen, but it was close to that. That is the kind of movie that a person would naturally think, "That is utterly ridiculous and didn't happen; no way he saved that many people himself", but really happened.
The Bounty, not only because of its accuracy, but because it sets the record straight (or straighter)
@uncleshawn it's the one with Anthony Hopkins and Mel Gibson
uncleshawn · 41-45, M
@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP I haven't seen it. Will make a goal to watch it. Not sure how that one skipped me. Great actors, those two, and probably were glad to be part of a historical project.
@uncleshawn It was a while ago. Liam Neeson was "Liam who?"
