I Love Talking About Politics

Terror attack in Melbourne on Friday.
Radical Islamist blows up truck, kills one, injures two others with knife before being shot dead by Police.
Labour(in opposition) MP, Ms Anne Aly, (First Muslim elected to Australian Parliament) condemns Prime Minister for "trying to divide a nation" in calling for Radical Islamists to be expelled from the country.
I wrote a "Letter to the Editor" just now.

Here we go again, Labour MP, Ms Anne Aly continues to deny there is a problem with Islam here in Australia, as does Suresh Rajan.
It is talk such as this that is dangerous. The community was divided long ago when immigration policies allowed all and sundry into this peaceful country.
She states, "The threat to individual safety perpetrated by Jihadists pales in comparison to the number of women being killed by domestic violence"
Different issue. Once again trying to deny there is a problem with Islamic Jihadists in Australia.
I call out all deniers of Islamic Terror. These people, along with the radicalised Islamists are a danger to peace and community by continuing to gloss over gross acts in the name of Islam.

Extremism, left or right, has no place in democratic societies. Moderate Muslims should be the first to condemn radical Islam, because radical Islam gives all Muslims a bad name... Yet, their first instinct is often to get defensive, instead of condemning the indefensible radicalism... If they had done so (condemning radicalism) since 2001, there would be much less distrust and animosity towards Muslims as there is now... I know that moderate Muslims have condemned radical Islam and terrorism, but too often their reaction is like Ms Aly's: to get defensive and trying to change the subject... not smart...

@gfantasy It is those in positions of power and influence who should be condemning terrorism. But they seem to take the opposite stance. By not condemning are they condoning?
Do they actually want Islam to control the world? Seems like it to me. Time for the people to stand up and take active steps to remove those who tacitly support the overthrow of Democracy.
