I Got Lunch Detention
I had plenty of these when I was in school. For most I had to report to the sports centre for a lunchtime detention PE lesson. As it wasn't exactly planned these lessons were always in my underwear and bare feet.

@SunshineGirl yes it was a welcome break from shoes. In year 9 I had drama for last period so I just stuffed my shoes and socks in my bag then padded home barefoot

Mostly just running laps of the sports hall. Or if they were a few of us then something like bench ball

I had detention last month and we got to do yoga in the gym. I had to take off my shoes and tights.

@TammieBear: Same here although we had two drama studios. I don't think they were ever cleaned. Ever !

@TammieBear Yoga doesn't sound too tough for a detention! But wasn't it hard to do stretches and positions wearing your school skirt?

@lcclinton4 It was a bit awkward, but we were only learning basic positions and breathing and I didn't have my PE kit with me. Anyway, it was much better than sitting in a classroom doing nothing 🙂

Detentions are just a waste of everyone's time! I only got one lunchtime detention, but didn't go. I ended up sitting down quite gingerly that night after a proper six of the best!! 😫

@MickB72 When I was teaching I offered student the option of having the slipper instead of doing the detention. Most opted for the slipper.
