I Run Cross Country

Cross country again this afternoon and to my horror I realised I had not brought any old trainers today. So I had no choice but to run with nothing on my feet. It wasn’t so bad I suppose just a little cold and absolutely muddy. I have mud coming out of my ears!!

I wasn’t alone either one other girl Abbey forgot her complete PE kit so Miss A had her run wearing her school sweater, knickers and bare feet!! I’d say poor girl but she was being silly and tried to gingerly avoid the mud, which was impossible by the way.

😳 Sometimes the really little girls at our school will do indoor PE in underwear if they don't have their kit, but never outdoors. I feel sorry for that girl 😥

Poor girls, you must have been freezing! I can remember being so cold after hockey or cross-country running, that I couldn't undo my buttons with my frozen fingers 😩 i think it was a bit cruel for Miss A to make you go outside in bare feet and Abbey in her underwear, but I guess it will help you to remember your PE kits next time? 😬

@KatieJ :) you should. We were inside this week doing netball. They make us have shower afterwards even though we didn't need to warm up :/

@SarahX Oh lucky you 🙂 we actually normally do netball outside in the warmer weather. Hope you all had the correct kit.
Showers aren’t compulsory for us it’s our choice.

I used to teach PE and cross country was a component of the curriculum. While much PE can be done bare foot I would not have made girls do cross country bare foot.

At my high school, for indoor pe boys could choose footwear but girls were bare feet.
