I Like to Read

I love getting lost in a book and feeling the emotions of a character. I enjoy using my imagination. I love the feeling you get when you can't put a book down because you need to know whats going to happen next. It distracts me from my reality and takes me elsewhere for a little while. When I'm done reading I feel inspired and accomplished. Proud of myself for putting down my gadgets and doing something beneficial.

Books differ from movies and other media that "spoon feeds" you the story. With a book, your mind and imagination have to be engaged and do part of the work. It is a pastime that helps keep your mind working. Writing is as good as reading.

I totally get that! I've been a book nerd since I could read, and I always got in trouble for smuggling books into class and such.

Have you read the Malazan Book of the Fallen? I'm making my way through it right now, and it's the kind of series that just grabs me by the throat and heart.

I love holding a book in my hands. I only do audio books on a long drive.

I'm reading The Prophet by Khalil Gibran. What are some of your favorites

I am a major Ann Rule fan. Check her out if you haven't. As a starter, I'd recommend...
