I Love the Outdoors and Nature
I don't have many fond memories of my childhood, it's all a blur really, but there are times that stuck out to me, when I was actually happy. One of my favorite times of the year was summer, that meant playing outside from sun up to sun down. We lived on the outskirts of a major city with a patch of woods directly behind my house, it was like a hidden paradise for me. I would visit my cousins who lived in town in cramped apartments and houses with nothing but a patch of grass to play on and would think how lucky I was to have a whole other world waiting for me back at home. I would jump and dance in the summer rain, look under rocks for bugs, dig holes to hide my treasures while making up wild fantasies about who I was. One day I was a witch mixing her twigs and weeds together to make deadly potions, the next I was an explorer about to make the next big discovery using my mom's gardening tools to lift rocks and examine my findings with a magnifying glass. Being outside has always made me feel peaceful and it's one thing I'm grateful to have experienced as a kid.
