Or - if you've accidentally weed - just waiting till the tea is cool enough and "spilling" it in your lap solves all the day's problems.

After you've done the spilling, you have to say loudly: "Bother* I've spilled my tea..."

[* substitute as appropriate.
For instance: "×<>®÷, *#@*+, &#šã*ing Jehoshaphat, I've spilled..." ]
