I Wish I Was In a Great Relationship

My marriage was great once. I believed the son rose and set by her. I loved her more than you can imaginemi was physically sick when we were apart. Now, twenty years later I can't stand it. An affair by me and a one night stand from her blew up the marriage. We should never have been married.

Let me get this straight. She had a one night stand 20 years ago, BEFORE you were married, and you had a ongoing affair with another woman WHILE married... and it is her fault?

Yes, absolutely, and I never would have even considered an affair if she had never gone to bed for 2 years. I was faithful until I believed the marriage was over. I genuinely thought the marriage was at an end at which point I found a woman who loved me for me then. I told her when I was going to leave for her. We ended up staying together. Only then did she tell me about the one night stand with the waiter. I never had an opportunity to reconcile that - deal with it. @daydeeo
