I Wish Magic Carpets Existed

I do today - we're having ours replaced.

Our house is largely open plan so it is all downstairs, excluding the kitchen, stairs and the landing!

I'm currently locked in my daughter's bedroom as it has a desk so I can work. The long call I'm about to be on will be accompanied by a load of noise outside!

So I wish you could just magic a carpet to be laid without all the moving of furniture etc. I'll still be unloading from the spare room and the garage at midnight no doubt!
