I Have Anxiety

We’re working from home as of today. I’m grateful that I have a job still (with health insurance no less), and grateful that we can work from home.

But today didn’t go too well. They gave me a laptop and a DVD drive, and I made a DVD with my current documents, while we were still onsite. So, I thought I was ready to go.

But the VPN didn’t let me in, and the laptop wouldn’t detect the DVD drive when I plugged it in. Mr. Kat then copied the DVD to a flash drive. But the laptop is not accepting any outside storage devices.

And - the IT guy had the day off today. So I had a frustrating day trying to take care of this myself. I will call the IT guy in the morning. Mr. Kat (an IT guy himself) thinks the problems can only be solved by somebody with administrator access.

Challenging times. Most people I know are now working from home. Imagine trying to run a city, or a large company, or even a small company remotely.

For ourselves, we transitioned to remote interaction and collaboration with one another a year+ ago, now we have to bring our clients into that loop.

With a little patience we'll get through this.
Sounds like a locked down laptop. Otherwise that wouldn't be happening normally.

@Thatsright It’s complicated. 😉 We have been together a total of 18 years, but went through some problems, and lived apart for about three years. One year ago, we agreed to move back in together and try again. So far, so good.
