I Have Anxiety

I'm pretty worried for tomorrow. If you guys don't know, I'll tell you. On Friday my schedule for classes was switched a little bit. I had new teachers for U.S History and American Literature. But on Friday I had gotten called down to the office and was told that I had missed a class. That's when I found out about the switch, and nobody told me about it. So I didn't get to have history that day because I had to go to my new literature teacher. Bad part was that I had questions on the assignment in history and my teacher of record doesn't know if that classwork applies to my new history teacher. So they told me to just hang on to it until Monday, so I left it at school since I did most of the work (and what I could do). But dad got mad at me because I didn't bring it home. He knows about the switch, but he said it was the fact that I had the work not finished and that I would be grounded from the internet if he sees I failed the assignment. I was upset because-how was I suppose to finish my work if I didn't know one and half of a question they were asking me? I just hope that my new teacher will answer my questions if the assignment does apply to his class tomorrow. Cause I'm really worried about it, I don't want to do bad on my first assignment that's for a grade honestly.

As a long retirement principal and teacher, it is hard for me to see how you should be blamed for a foul up that you did not create and could not avoid. So I agree, wait until tomorrow and meet with the teachers and see if they can sort it out in a reasonable and compassionate manner. Let me know how this works out, send me a message. Sometimes I am surprised at how bureaucratic and unhelpful some teachers can be, and it would lead me to question whether they should be teaching. It is about TEACHING not about rules and silly non-essential stuff.

@Chickfowler The teachers at my school are very good, they do their job as a teacher, to educate you as a student (and to help you understand something if you don't get it). They don't seem to be lazy or anything from what I've seen from the majority of teachers.

I hope you did well

@Exhibiter100000 Yeah. Everything was okay. In fact I got switched a third time, so I wasn't in those history and literature classes for too long, only a day.

These things usually don't turn out as bad as they seem. Try not to worry. Good luck tomorrow. :)

@FeetAreFantastic I know. I'm sure my new history teacher will understand. Since I didn't get to have history on Friday and get the answers I needed to my questions. I'll make sure to talk to him when I see him in class just in case a teacher forgot to tell them about my situation.

@KandiGhostcat sounds like a plan! ☺

@FeetAreFantastic Yeah. Cause I have to make sure there's no late and absent stuff on my record for that day I wasn't there as well. Not just help with my work.
