I Am In High School

Hi all. I'm in the UK, now a p e teacher.

What was or is the footwear dress code for indoor p e? Some schools quite relaxed on it. Did you have to wear trainers or sneakers? Were you allowed bare feet if you wanted? Or was the the rule?

From what I recall of my high school days, things seemed a bit similar to earlier school years. The footwear we wore for PE when we did was trainers and like earlier years it seemed we had a choice. Most boys and girls I think, opted to choose bare feet in the gym as much as possible. There were maybe a few times we had to wear trainers. It just seemed that pupils were more than happy to carry on good footwear habits from middle school and teachers seemed happy to let us.
