Wandering Eye

In the blink of a wandering eye
There was missed, a true love's goodbye
It didn't take long, and there's not much to say
Just an eye that had wandered, and a love gone astray

So true was the love, yet it could not overcome
That wandering eye, and what had been done
There was pain and some hurts that lingered on
Yet the wandering eye still wandered along

Not really knowing, just what had occurred
Until it was too late to fix that love now deferred
And, so goes the story, of the eye, ever wandering
and the love that's been lost, due to it's squandering
