I Don't Think She Knows How Truly Beautiful She Is

Perfection of the Heart
by: Rob Paquin

To turn yourself into a work of art
Upon the whole, and not in part
Quite a perfect place to start
Is with the perfecting of your heart

There is a lady that I know
Thoughts and feelings overflow
And as she passes, I see her glow
And I feel the gifts that she bestows

Beauty shining like the stars
Picture perfect like the great Renoir's
And though her soul has some scars
She's worth the worshiping from afar

Eyes of green, and hair like fire
A smile that incites desire
Words that lift and take me higher
A subtle touch that I admire

Soft and sweet are her affections
As she wanders in her own direction
Adding experiences to her collection
As she searches for her heart's perfection

Wow! I'm truly at a loss for words. This was so beautiful and light-inducing that I'm having trouble forming a worthy thank you here, even though I know you don't need to hear those two words from me as you probably already know just how touched I am by this kindness. Your words have always been able to capture the mind and soul of everyone they come across, which is such a beautiful gift in itself.

Thank you for being kindness and light in a sometimes shellfish and dark world, Rob. Your readers are very happy and lucky a soul like you exists for many reasons, one of them being to remind us of so many beautiful aspects that are still thriving out there despite the obstacles we're presented with.

Thank you again for seeing what I often fail to. These thoughts mean a lot coming from a soul such as yours. Peace be with you today and everyday this world is lucky enough to have you be a part of it 🤗

"Deserves", never seems to have much to do with my life....

I take what I get, and try not to become too despondent when things don't turn out as they should have.

I've pretty much given up on hope, happiness, and ever having more or better.

These days, I just keep it simple.

That hurts my heart to read, but we each have to walk our own journey and adjust accordingly. The hope I must hold onto in order to feel like I'm walking towards something worthwhile is for me and me alone. You living an existence without such a thing as hope, even though it is painful for a heart like mine to hear, is an existence that works for you so all I can do is support your journey like I would anyone else's because each journey is so very precious and should be treated as such. With that being said I wish for you to once again know what happiness is in this world. I know you've endured loss that can be earth-shattering and I can't make you look for happiness in a world that seems very unforgiving and cruel at times, but I still wish glimmers of happiness to find their way to you in some form.

@Loretta78: You are not as alone as you think you are here 🤗

She isn't. I agree.

As for me..., I'm fairly fine with the finality of it all. I don't really stress it, and I've found that pretend smiles look an awful lot like genuine smiles.

It works well enough for me.

Thanks for the kind words

Hahaha. I write. It's what I do.I take it to various levels. Though this is a tribute of sorts, it shouldn't be construed as an enamored advance. She's been quite kind to my rhymes at times, and she's fairly fetching. This is a thank you for the many likes over the year she's bestowed to my paltry publications.....

Glad you enjoyed reading it

@HikingMan: Well! Writing is my hobby! And although English is not my home language I am able to recognize a well written text/poem IMMEDIATELY! 😌☺
