@SW-User I was in my 20's and I was way too naive about protecting my personal stuff.

So, yeah, I had an instance where privacy was invaded but nothing stolen or broken or whatever.

I learned and grew up a lot from it.

Yes, twice. Horrible experiences both times. Both times were when my income had reduced after my divorce. The people who were renting out rooms in the houses had filthy habits...never washed their dishes...and in one instance the landlord nearly set the place on fire.

I live in a 4 family house. Everybody has their own unit, nothing shared. It still sux because you can hear through the walls and floor. Tg my lease expires in September. Needless to say I'm not renewing it.

@SW-User One great experience with an awesome housemate who became like a big brother for me. Worked in IT and fixed my computer for me...Worst experience was someone who let her boyfriend stay in our small two bedroom flat all the time. He was a massive creep and I would hide out in my room to avoid him

When I first left my parents’ home I lived in a commune with 11 other people. A friend inherited a huge Victorian house across the street from Golden Gate Park and had his partner and several friends living there and helping cover the property taxes. I was waiting for a flat in Pacifica to be free and stayed in an attic bedroom until it was available. It was an interesting experience, but I probably couldn’t manage it now.
