That’s life.

@malizz Life is unexpected. You can’t count on anything, and the memories only make everything worse. One pain after another. Perhaps it’s a good thing that we won’t be here forever. Someday the pain will come to an end.

@SW-User I have always been philosophical about people dying, but that doesn't stop some memories being painful. I know better than to offer platitudes on this matter which is very personal to each individual.

@malizz Everyone copes differently. It doesn’t work the same. My fault.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family. 💐

There were a few things she left me to do, such as the breakfast, caravan setting up, gardening. Latterly she was less lively and that slowed me up too. I got an exercise bike, losing 2 stones which kept my legs in trim now I'm back on the real bike. Still slightly wobbly mounting it though.

I can still cook ok. Properly done macaroni and cheese recipe tonight (using the fusilli from the cupboard). I've done that one for her too.

She was happy doing most of the cooking.

I like to think I was as good, but she probably wouldn't believe it.

Take aways are ok for an occasional treat, especially if we're tired. Sharing a meal can be romantic. However one chip portion was more than enough for the both of us. I had one the night she was in hospital, to the great detriment of my sugar levels.
