I Am a Republican

They say republicans hate the poor. I wonder what blue states offer scholarship to all high school graduate with 3.0 or better. Ga and tn does. What blue states have free community college for all hs graduates in that state? Tn does.

Lets be honest this is what is wrong with this country right here. The idea that "red" state can't have a good idea or do something good for its people. Of course they can, do they do alot of things I think hurt their people, yes, but it doesn't mean they hate the poor, or any other group really.

Life actually isn't that polarized, "red" states are a mix of people just like anywhere else. Just like big cities, sure they are usually more liberal, but not everyone in the city is a liberal by any stretch.

Compromise and middle ground is what can save this country, well save it and make it better, there is always room for improvement.
Republicans don't hate the poor.

The Dem's just have a better PR policy.

I know
Blue states don't amount to much ... Hawaii, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Delaware, NJ, MD ... and the always entertaining California ... the rest of the blue states are really red states, with a major city dominating.

None of that set .. set the world on fire educationally.

So ... Go Volunteers!
@Pherick:

You are on the losing team.

Trump fans are quite loyal.

In 2018 ... 10 senators, in solid Trump states ... need a miracle ... or the Senate turns unbeatable.

In 2020, 8 more electoral votes ... and congressional seats ... move from blue states to solid red states ... Texas gets 3 ... just a reflection of the 2010 census.

The red counties, are part of a 26 year trend ... where more and more counties have turned red every 4 years.

Urban locales are not growing ... and already 90% blue ... no new votes to be found there.

And Trump is rockin ... putting a cork in the EPA alone ... is a huge win.

And just for clarity ... Trump won ... and red counties are happy ...election over!

@questionWeaver: Red counties are happy? Wow. You must not being watching the news. LOTS of people in red counties aren't happy to have Meals on Wheels cut, losing their health insurance, etc.

trump is seeing his support sliding away already, last I looked 37% approval rating. Oh yea ... they love him ....

Seriously man? You are happy about cutting the EPA?? You don't like clean air and clean water?

Enjoy your delusional world were everything is happy and liberals are just going to go away. Its not going to happen and I hope you can learn to adapt!
@Pherick:

I am committed to stopping everything liberal. It is a happy place for me.

The election is over ... no more recounts ... no more court orders ... no more votes.

You lost.

And yes ... I like very much that the EPA is being redirected back to the clean-up work we really need.

There is no reason our EPA needs to be at conferences in Europe, chatting with penquins in Anartica ... or counting ice cubes on the North Slope of Alaska ... they have hundreds of neglected clean-up projects to work on.

And no ... the media has no better way of reflecting the red counties, than they did in November.

I am proud of being a Trump supporter ... and only the happier since he took office.

Free college and subsudies for schools are Progressive ideas. Glad Republicans are warming up to our ideas.

@questionWeaver: How long is that oil going to last? More importantly...how long will we last with that oil?
@Headlines: A real long time ... the North Carolina structure is huge ... dwarfed only by the basins offshore NJ and Florida.

It would pay for a lot of college.

No, no, you've got it all wrong. They hate blacks, Latinos, and non evangelicals. Oh, and they hate poor people.
How did I miss blocking you ... I am clearly not keeping current.

@questionWeaver: I've been away a while.

Actually alot of states blue and red offer scholarships. I just did a quick search on Georgia, as you mentioned. They do offer merit based scholarships (so only for "smarter" people) and you must go to a Georgia-based school. So its basically a subsidy to Georgia colleges, not a bad thing, just recognize it for what it is.

The Tennessee Promise is actually a very cool idea, and I think it should be expanded for everyone who wants it. I hope other states pick it up and run with it.

The hope scholarship in both ga and tn is for anyone graduate with a b avg.
Many states offer those kinds of programs, blue and red..
