I always hated 'socializing work events'.
There was always somebody clinging to the wall 'judging' everybody else's behaviour with a 'friend'
Always that one person who couldn't manage their booze and would go waaay beyond the point of 'funny' into a whole new category of 'misdemeanour'.
Always somebody desperate to explain to you why they were p*$$£d off at you 2:15 September 17th 1993.......🤷♂️

@TimingQuasars I think it might harm you. I know there are different levels of drugs but I'd rather you didn't. I know there is nothing I can say to make you change your mind. But I honestly think it doesn't work

No, I've only been to two Christmas parties. The first one was held at their house. They were an elderly couple in there late 80's. All 6 of us were sitting at the table eating and the old man starts talking about their 20 year old dead cats that he only ever brushed once. He brings a chunk of matted fur an we all passed it around awkwardly.
The second one everybody but me went ham and got wasted. Lots of drama that night haha. Break ups, co-worker flirting with boss in front of wife, another co-workers husband going around grabbing our vaginas, domestic fight between couples. The whole night was a shit show.
I have no interest in ever attending a work Christmas party again ahahha
