I Don't Need Drugs and Alcohol to Have Fun

I don’t understand this. Why do some people feel every social gathering requires drinking and getting drunk? My friends and I are in our midnto late 20s and everything we do now seems to have to involve drinking and getting drunk.

Mind you I seldom drink and I don’t get drunk as I see no purpose to it. I miss the days where we would have a bonfire and just talking about old times and talk about what’s going on.

Now it seems everyone breaks bank and wants to bring an entire liquor store to the fire and get drunk. And in the end they’re all belligerently drunk, and I’m cleaning up empty bottles and cans and puke...

The worst part of it seems that if you want to do some hint that doesn’t involve drinking it’s “childish” or “lame”
