Where would we a good place in the US to rent a place to live for the next 3-6 months?

I’m looking for moderately cheap, somewhat isolated but not totally remote with more cornfields than people. A lot to do (especially outdoors), and nice scenery is what I want. Colorado came to mind.

If it weren’t for this virus maybe I could go somewhere where I could have a warm winter for once in my life... 😍
Colorado in the winter is neither warm or cheap.

Arizona is nice and its reasonable.
I woukd say so is Florida, but this hurricane has me second guessing my choice to come here

Southern Maryland if you like the water and seafood!
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
@Orangehotrod I live between DC and Baltimore and take Marc into DC for work.

But my office is planning to move to PG county.
Orangehotrod · 61-69, M
@JoyfulSilence stay out of PG and Charles! St. Mary’s is the place and an easy commute to pg
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
@Orangehotrod I will have to explore. I wish I could stay put, put, but I would have to take Marc in, then Metro out. If I decide to drive, instead, I might as well move to someplace south a drive NW. It will still suck.

Western Maryland, starting at about Frederick.

Go to Iowa it's full of cornfields
Heartofgold · 46-50, F
@SW-User How’s the cornfield to person ratio?
SW-User
@Heartofgold hella lot more cornfields
I'd go to Missoula mt. but get out before december

There’s so many places on the outskirts of major cities in TX. The location depends on the scenery you want.
Heartofgold · 46-50, F
@JesseInTX Not sure how I’d fit in in Texas
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
@Heartofgold all depends on what you’re looking for. This is the most diverse state in the USA. Tell me what you are looking for and I can point to to an area.
Idaho fits this quite well. Avoid the Coeur d'Alene area, its getting crowded and expensive. But 50 miles south , it's a lot of open space and inexpensive housing.

depends.. u a "mask everywhere all the time" person? cuz if not central US pretty cautious and laid back at the same time
Kansas... Missouri... Nebraska. Oklahoma and Colorado too.

Remember the Bridges of Madison County?

Some places are really still like that.
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
Colorado is cold in winter, with lots of snow, especially in the mountains.
@JoyfulSilence And lots of wacko liberals running loose. 🤡
