Tips on reading the Bible for struggling Christian

I have been a struggling Christian for like a year now and I need some tips. Like where in the bible would it be best for me to start and how much time should I spend studying it. How should I study it and etc. I still struggle with sin which is partly why I'm having such a hard time but I don't know If that's because I don't know how to let the Lord in my life. If you have any tips, suggestions, or advice please leave them down below. Also should I create like a schedule or something with fasting and how much time I should dedicate to studying the bible? I've kind of tried stuff like this out but I end up failing but tell me what you think.

Read the 4 "Gospels" first. Then Acts. Then the rest of the NT, in any order. Then read the whole OT, and back again through the whole NT. The NT and OT make sense of each other. Psalms -- read one every day. Psalms are like deep thoughts expressed as prayers and songs.

Read good books, too. "Surprised by Hope", for example.

Finally, understand what the word 'Christ' means, because that is the one word that wraps up what the OT hope of the Jews wa and what the whole NT draws out the meaning of.
