I Have Something to Say and I Want to Be Heard

I went to Sainsburys this morning in Sittingbourne in kent and I am pretty disgusted with the staff in the café .I had my wife ,son ,daughter and grandson with me .My grandson wanted a bottle the staff refused to give us hot water for his bottle but said if we paid for a cup of tea they would give us a teapot of hot water .We had already ordered a meal for each of us and a hot drink ,would it have hurt them to give us a jug of hot water for free .Wont be going there again .We have never had that problem with morrisons or greggs or any where else we have been disgusted with Sainsburys attitude .

So then, you wanted them to use their energy to heat up water that they have to pay for, to put into a container that cost them money to purchase. If they did that for every patron that came through their doors, the amount of money they lost would make your jaw drop.

@braveheart21 I am actually English heritage,with a lineage that goes back to the ninth century. It is not American attitude, it is a solidarity I share with my fellow retail workers regardless of nationality and global location. Do you remember the story of the Parisian shopkeeper that told Oprah Winfrey to fuck off because she demanded to look around his boutique at midnight, tracking down his home address and waking him up to do so?

@Rosejilly I hope you are not saying I am racist .My best friend was black and I lost her to cancer and still miss her .

Late advice, but for an easy life don't breed. I learned that 20yrs ago.

To the point, Sainsburys is a shop not a creche. Our strategy was always to take child(ren) to a child-friendly pub leaving one parent to do the shopping. Shopping parent then gets well earned reward in a glass then taxi home for all.

What also got me is they charge their patrons to park in their carpark to shop in their store disgusting .That is the one and only time I have ever had to pay in a supermarket car park to shop in their store wont do it again .Morrison will get my custom from now on so much more customer friendly .

This one is right in the town centre and loads of people just park there to go into town...not any more lol @Rhodesianman

@braveheart21 Ours is as well but they have a time limit of 2 hrs 30 minutes so if people are going any where else they think twice before parking as the fine is an on the spot 100 pound .

Spot on...save spaces for normal shoppers @Rhodesianman

Really? The cost of a tea was a deal breaker for you? I'm taking their side in this one.
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@GJOFJ3 The guy even tried arguing against my reasonable logic.

At least they didn't use "Health & Safety" as an excuse. Still dreadful behaviour though.
Rhodesianman · 56-60, M
@everready71 They did that's exactly what they said that it was all to do with health and safety .

@Rhodesianman Typical!
