I Missed My Chance

I always thought I would be the only one to touch your lips, that I would be the only one that make you heart beat fast but I wasn’t.

I listened to my head and not my heart I let fear and comfort keep me where I am today while you found someone to ignite your heart.

I have watched woman a thousand times place their hands on your heart hoping they couldn’t make it beat like I did.

I hoped I could be brave one day and follow my heart but when I did it was too late because someone had filled my place.
