I admire these football players who have the courage and determination to play despite what happened. [I Love Football]

Respect.

And here I am, not able to watch totally because of a spoiled mood.

Yeah it was pretty traumatising to watch on tv let alone watch a team mate go through it in person. Kudos to them also for shielding him from public view being inches away from someone fighting for their life
MasterofNone · 26-30, M
@GLITTER Ah yes they did that too. Such amazing people with big hearts! They had the heart to witness that and then play like champs.
GLITTER · 36-40, F
@MasterofNone I think had anything bad have happened they wouldn’t have played
MasterofNone · 26-30, M
@GLITTER And they shouldn't have I suppose, in such a scenario.

I'm gonna watch, bless Em. Respect that they wanna continue tbf
I still feel meh though
MasterofNone · 26-30, M
@Gangstress Exactly.

The feeling doesn't go away quickly of course.
Gangstress · 41-45, F
@MasterofNone definitely not 😔 ugh. I'm glad he's stabilised, still keeping my thoughts for full recovery x

@Gangstress I saw in some news channel he was talking too. Fingers crossed for full recovery indeed. That's something we want to be hearing soon.

What is courageous about it?

@MasterofNone I still don't get why it takes courage. It's okay, sports always confuse me anyway.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@SW-User I think it's more that the other players were friends of him. It's also continuing your job for the day after someone next to you had a suspected heart attack. Maybe it's mental strength more than courage that the players showed.
SW-User
@Burnley123 I can definitely see why it would be difficult to play.

His father was just quoted on television saying he is alert and speaking and is not in imminent danger
