Are the teams pathetic for not playing? [I Love Football]

So at Old Trafford Manchester, United fans broke into the stadium in protest at the Glazers ownership. Yeah there were a few flares and a few scuffles with Police outside as well. But has Health and Safety gone too far because in previous years this would still have been played with fans in the stadium too.
Even the pundits on Sky Sports backed the fans who were peaceful but had broken in. So what your view.
Why should they play after that???

If thugs (I'm sorry, those aren't fans) have already broken in once - what's to say that it's going to stop there???

The last thing you need is something happening during a match and the panic that could ensue as a result of that.

@HootyTheNightOwl they should've played because they had enough security in the stadium.

The fans had been pushed all the way back into Stretford from stuff I've watched. Even at the Hotel the Police had pushed everybody back.

Maybe. But why did City play at Liverpool when their windows were smashed in on the coach. For that matter United played in a full stadium after a bomb alert too.

Guess there's no soccer fans on SW. I was expecting a lot more discussion about it.

@ineedadrink no I don't think there is. Tbh apart from the damage I agree completely with their protests. Imo teams have had far worse circumstances to play in. From Windows been smashed on team coaches on the way into stadiums. I guess the most extreme example would be Hysel when they played just to ensure nobody was killed.
