I Love Hiking

I was on Crib Goch yesterday evening, and I came across another guy doing the Welsh 3000's challenge, he was going up the wrong side and it was way too steep.
I spotted him up the steep section in case he slipped and then showed him the easier route on the north side of the ridge.
We then hiked together for another 4 hours, across Garnedd Ugain and to Snowdon summit to complete his challenge, before heading back down the Pyg track.
Night fell, and he did not have a headtorch, so I used mine and walked with him down where his family was waiting.
He told me then he was doing this for his 60th birthday, and that despite 12+ months of training and prep', he wouldn't have finished if I hadn't offered to help and stuck with him.

Mountains are dangerous, be prepared, and keep track of time. And if we see someone else looks like they need a hand, there's no harm in asking, you may just make someone's day!
