Yes, I have been there and done that. Having emotional pain can hit you like a ton of bricks. It will leave you feeling lost with no sense of direction, it will leave you hopeless and it is a big burden to carry.

Most people have suffered that kind of pain. This in no way belittles what is being felt; it is dreadful. But one doesn't have to shoulder it alone. It is amazing how much a single sympathetic ear can help.
