I Am Eastern European

I come from a beautiful country. Yes that country what I knew before is long gone.
Happy, careless childhood. Travelling all over Europe and everyone lived in harmony. Then something horrible happened, what no one belived it will. WAR the most horrible word it can be. That country fell apart,people hated each other,simply because of different ethnicity.
I left, left my home town,family,friends,left behind everything. Why? Because wanted a better future, mostly for my son. That was 22 years ago. I am home sick many days. I go to visit but can't ever live there again.

@OnixBre I agree, it is a cool place to visit. To live not so much. Everyone is still leaving,mostly the younger generation. They can hardly find a job.

@Lena200 Well I live here and it's alright. I mean, sure, we don't have as high of a standard as some, but it's fine. I feel it's not that there's no job, but our mentality changed. We've gotten lazy.
I love other cultures and I want to live abroad for months at a pop, but I can't see myself living anywhere else... It's simply... Us :D

@Lena200 I'm from Belgrade :) We have about 1100l of apple rakija and about 300-400l of plum rakija right now :D

I love eating cheese with Rakija. Especially the salty southern Serbia one. Yummy.
