How to improve hair health?

[image] my hair on pic, has anyone have similar type? If so which products do you use to keep it healthy? Or any other suggestion how to improve it.
So far I am using shampoo and condicioner with caffein and leave in condicioner from Czech brand Bione which is without parabenes, and sulfates. Then from time to time coconut oil. And always airdry it. 1-2x per week but it is still not that healthy how I wish. Dealing with bad split ends and knots. Any help and advice is welcomed.
Looks a bit like my own..... Coconut oil once a week is nice. I like to give my hair a jojoba treatment on occasion, but it only coats the hair, it doesn't really sink in. But, not too often as it is a bit heavy.

When you dye it, add in a booster ( https://www.sallybeauty.com/step-one-booster/SBS-405017,default,pd.html ).
Get it trimmed much more often and take vitamins that carter to hair growth. Biotin, MSM and such.

when you wash it, focus more on cleansing your scalp, not so much the length.

@Discombobulatedbunny: oh jojoba treatment sounds interesting. And I dyed it like 8 months ago and not anymore, the red just sticked for a long time. And yeah I am trying the method of conditioner before shampoo and then again conditioner. Thanks for answer and advice :)

I have just used one kind of shampoo for years. I found my hair become weaker when I tried new shampoo. I also use coconut oil as conditioner and I have a lot of conditioners. Do you color your hair? If so you should use argan oil or coconut oil to prevent it from drying.

@wildflower12: Thank you very much for tips anyway :) Maybe I will look for other oil which is even lighter than coconut oil... my hair tend to get greasy easily when I did overnight coconut oil hair mask.

How long have u used the coconut oil? I used it as hair mask once overnight per two week. It makes our hair very oily if you use too often. My hair is oily

I tried it like 3x ... and always made very oily heavy and it looked very bad even lost shine. So I use it now only everyday on the ends little bit to make them moinsturized.

Get the dead ends trimmed and start a Biotin supplement. Your nails will look better too.
JaneSerenity · 26-30, F
@Peaceful: I am trimming the ends usually just the parts which are damaged. And yeah maybe I should start using Biotin again thanks for answer :)
Peaceful · F
@JaneSerenity: Biotin makes a huge difference if you stay consistent with it. Also, do you wash your hair everyday? Cause that dries it out too.
JaneSerenity · 26-30, F
@Peaceful: how I mentioned oy 1-2x per week yeah washing everyday would be like the worst thing I know.

Do you always wear your hair down?
JaneSerenity · 26-30, F
@Justlilyg: no for sleeping usually in loose bun...but through day usually yes since the braided hair doesn't really last for whole day
Peppa · 31-35, F
@JaneSerenity: well that's more than likely why you're getting split ends. If your hairs dry and rubs in clothes the friction splits the ends and unfortunately they can split up the hair shaft in multiple places...
All I can say is when it comes to plaiting your hair you should use a band to tie ends but not elastic bands.

@Justlilyg: this really helps. I have long hair too

Check the ingredients on shampoos you need sodium lauryl sulphate or similar to clean hair.Conditioner should contain Quaternary ammonium or a derivative to keep hair separated. You dont want hair in your brush as if indicates your hair is breaking.
Dont go above 200 degrees if you use straighteners it causes damage.Never bleach hair.Have split ends regularly trimmed off.
Need a trim and a cholesterol treatment. You can get cholesterol at Sallys or Walmart. I use Queen Helene. Shampoo, add the cholesterol cream and leave in about 20 minutes then rinse well.

most probably it is the water you are using to wash your hair. try drinking water to clean and soak at the end of your regular shower, you'll see your hair will get smooth and feel healthy.
JaneSerenity · 26-30, F
@badassgent Well it's same water as I drink normally lol... it should be normal and I am even using cold water on hair so... probably not thanks to water but anyway thank you for the tip :) my hair is smooth ...but the frizzyness with split ends drives me crazy 😂

Just wash it with conditioner, no shampoo. Also in my opinion give up the hair brush apart from before washing to avoid knots. Then wash with conditioner and leave it alone
