Is it safe to use talcum powder? I read it may cause cancer.

馃槦
FernieF
That has pretty much proven to be true and I believe it because so many people in show business die from Cancer...and I believe it because they spend years being doused with chemicals inside and outside their bodies. Find a more natural powder...corn starch does the trick and it is pure

@Fernie: I only just read about this 馃槦 I use an unperfumed talc in gymnastics to protect my hands and feet, but sometimes I put it on my body after a shower.
FernieF
@TammieBear: why not google how much a person has to use before it impacts them....you might be fine

i'd believe it.

product info. is inconclusive.

cancer is a very complicated issue with mutative genetics.

anyone who goes "we gotta die sometime" or "it's b.s." they never had to endure it.

stay away from the talc.

wear more breathable clothing.

oh, drink filtered water, change applications often like feminine products and don't trust labels, they're not info. it's advertising.

please do not take up smoking cigarettes and vapes are b.s. (those cartridges are chemically impacted garbage)

i grew up with cancer and now my wife has stage 4 lung cancer spread to the bones.

it is not an easy journey.. it's a freaking nightmare and i'm scared and very let down on those who think they know all about it when it comes to health care and science.

UNTIL it happens to THEM is always the situation.

@sighmeupforthat: Thank you for the advice and I'm sorry that your wife is ill.

I read it too so I don't use it. It can work its way up the birth canal and like a bit of grit in a clam seed a tumour.
TammieBear22-25, F
@lostinspice: I've had most of that removed already, but I'm still worried.
lostinspice51-55, F
No point worrying about talc you used already, just don't use anymore!

From one day to the next it's always something new and different that can cause cancer. One minute red meat is linked to cancer the next it can prevent it. If you're gonna get cancer, you're gonna get it. "Cigarettes give you lung cancer"... my grandad: never smoked in his life. Died of lung cancer. Fuck it
TammieBear22-25, F
@Pineapple: I'm sorry about your granddad.
FernieF
@Pineapple: never..not once..have I ever read or heard anywhere that red meat might prevent cancer...where on earth did you hear THAT. The air we breath is filthy...you don't just get lung cancer from smoking. PLUS! It doesn't make a cloud of dust as you use it like the toxic ones...that cloud is what goes up your nose or girly parts

Nothing is safe anymore
FernieF
@taintedprincess: that is NO exaggeration...for the sake of money/capitalism/greed....we really are being poisoned
SarahX22-25, F
OMG I use it all the time so it better not be true
TammieBear22-25, F
@Fernie: Is that for real? I use corn starch to thicken sauces . . not sure I want to put it on my body.
FernieF
@TammieBear: it's pure and natural. We used it all the time when I was a kid...for rashes, bad sunburns...you don't want to use chemicals now so use something natural. It has a silky feel on your skin.
SarahX22-25, F
@Tammiebear: but I don't put it like everywhere but just to stop the tight bits on the edges of my underwear rubbing so really just the tops of my legs so it probably won't get anywhere it shouldn't I hope

Many toiletries should be avoided. They're not a high risk, but we used them so often and risk is cumulative.
being alive today means cancer, you can eat well and exercise but you'll die healthy. Plus with more nuclear radiation skin cancers on the rise anyway. Enjoy life while it lasts man.
TammieBear22-25, F
@Outoforbits: Thanks 馃槦
FernieF
@Outoforbits: so, your for rushing death?
@Fernie: Nope, but it's better to enjoy the time you have instead of worrying about the inevitable.
@dumpstermeow: Potentially unsafe, and it's been linked to cancer.
