Are you a smoker? if so how much you smoke a day?

im guilty. why does it have to be so damn hard to quit? :/
katielass · F
I quit smoking a little more than a year ago so I understand how difficult it is to quit. I tried everything, unsuccessfully, but having a stroke sort of forced the issue. I don't recommend it. Please quit before something terrible happens.

Sorry to hear that one :/ I for sure aim to get cut down to 10 a day by end of month if i can hold it down and keep myself alert enough. from 30 down to 10 should be a good head start. then once i settle into that amount. cut down even more.

I wish you luck. You'll be surprised how much better you feel. But hey, I always said I would not be one of "those" ex-smokers so I'll just be quiet. :)

@Katielass: thanks :)

HAHA good luck. but what about the "mind addiction" and "taste addiction" doesnt that make it hard to switch to vaping as well?
Socialclutz · 36-40, M
I couldn't enjoy smoking. I tried it a few times but my body rejected it every time
madscottish · 36-40, M
@crabbyhermit: I'm interested to see how it feels to be high on that. I'm just not prepared for another addiction and something else to spend the little money I have on
Socialclutz · 36-40, M
Then you'd be wise to stay clear of it, but the high is so great
madscottish · 36-40, M
@crabbyhermit: i can imagine :D

Quieting so rarely smoke. Once or twice a month.

I stopped after I had flu and couldn't physically smoke for 2 weeks. Gotta take the opportunities when they come up.

Good for you!!

Ive not even had the flu for a very long time to put me off it :/ probably 7 - 8 years ago since i last had it.
SW-User
Guilty but have been able to cut down in the last few months :)

@madscottish: if you can quit smoking your first cigarette in the morning till later, after a meal, and before bed you are there. That's the most difficult part!
madscottish · 36-40, M
@BigAsset: I agree.. morning cigarette is for sure the hardest. probably because all the hours you where asleep not getting the nicotine. may try that vape stuff but i really dont know about that stuff either. kinda defeats the purpose of quitting the addiction. when your still feeding the addiction, just in a different form
SW-User
@madscottish: for me vape felt worse. I think it does more harm than good so I just stopped using it. Atleast that's how I felt.
Syktur · 26-30, M
I used to smoke like half a pack a day, but now I smoke probably three cigarettes a week, and am working on ridding myself of the habit completely.
madscottish · 36-40, M
3 a week? damn i couldnt even stop 3 a hour HAHA. good on ya though!
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
I don't smoke. Never have. Big business doesn't want it to be easy to quit and stop filling their pockets with your money.
madscottish · 36-40, M
truth! when smoking you can feel that rapid decline in your fitness. its horrible.. over a decade smoking for me now :/
JoserJekter · 26-30
Eh, try liberating yourself to a few, and not thinking you have tah stap right away.
madscottish · 36-40, M
thats what i plan.. hopefully i can stick to it. same with the caffeine even though thats not nearly as bad on the health
JoserJekter · 26-30
Eh, my body can't handle strong coffee. The added pressure killed my progress when I was tryin' tah quit, so I quit tryin'.

@dunpender: thats how my grandmother quit. wish that would happen to me. just lose all interest. so far ive tried that. but those brain tricks and known even if i do manage to quit. theres always gonna be cigarettes in the house cause of other smoker living here. makes it that extra but harder
Sepia · 36-40, F
I'm a non smoker and I hope everyone who smokes will quit :)
madscottish · 36-40, M
I hope so too! They should put a ban on it. make it illegal so you cant buy it from shops anymore.. I know there will still be smokers doing that, But far less
Degbeme · 70-79, M
No kidding. 40+ years for me.
madscottish · 36-40, M
Eesh.. ever wonder what your lungs look like? id be scared to see mine
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@madscottish: Leather.
No. I dabbled a little bit as a young woman, but never really got into it. And I haven't smoked anything since well into the last century. With all that we now know about the effects of smoking I don't understand why young people ever start.
madscottish · 36-40, M
Wish i never did start. i started at 12. Young and dumb with a lot of older sibling peer pressure cause they where smokers.
