Is your decision on a vaccine for covid political?

Apparently those who support Trump are choosing to not be vaccinated as per Dr. Fauci and urges Trump to tell his supporters to get vaccinated.
It would appear your political leaning according to Fauci is what determines if you get vaccinated or not? How many who supported Biden or are Democrats are also choosing to not be vaccinated?
I have no intention of getting vaccinated. Because I don’t trust what IMO came out way too fast. Nothing to do with Bide, Trump or any other political figure.

It's funny how Conservatives are refusing to wear masks because they don't want to "live in fear"... yet they're terrified of a vaccine. 🤦🏻‍♀️
@DearAmbellina2113 and, as usual, they don't give a rat's ass about infecting others.

So I would just like to point out that some of you are pointing fingers at "Trump supporters" or "conservatives"... over-generalizing is a terrible thing. I would be more likely to believe that there are people in every political party, race, gender, sexual preference, ect who are doing exactly what you are pinning on that one reason.
For me, politics plays NO part in getting/not getting the vaccine. It is strictly personal preference.

@fernie2 right back at ya...the fact that you are spreading falsehoods makes you no better than the media that you get your information from
@lifesatrip RESEARCH THE SUBJECT IS MY POINT!
lifesatrip · F
@fernie2 right...being a negative person and trying to stir up trouble for no reason was not your "point"

Interestingly over here in the UK take up so far has been over 90% acroos the board with over 22 million having had thir first dose (36% of the adult population so far) .
Politics hasnt entered into the debate at all. The overwhelming majority want the vaccine as they see it as the way out of lockdowns and a return to normailty and they trust the medics and scientists.
I will eventually get the vaccine because it will probably be required for the cruise i have booked in 2023 but my thinking is that, i don't like putting man-made chemicals into my body, i don't trust any of them. Plus i think that covid will end up being like the flu and a different vaccine will be required each year so why bother with it now? Just so you know, yes i believe covid is real, i had it and some friends and family had it, sadly one friend died. Funny thing though,i have never had a flu shot and i have never had the flu, my wife gets the flu shot every year for her work and gets the flu about every other year, officially diagnosed by a doctor. She got the covid shot (both of them) got mildly ill after the first one, second one basically knocked her on her ass for three days...i have no desire to experience that again LOL
i havent had the flu in 25 years. @istillhaveanameitsrick

Not at all. I have received my first dose and everyone should.

Apparently, the position of Republicans/conservatives/Trump lovers is that we should give thanks and credit to Trump for a vaccine that they refuse to take.

{@soar2newhighs] that is your choice and i respect that but listen to the experts rather than the politicians
@InstructHer I’d give up travel or events rather than my choice. I hear your point and well taken.
@InstructHer I really would rather not get it...don't want to be a guinea pig. Unfortunately, it won't be long before we'll have to carry proof that we did get it or we won't be able to enter any place. It's like a sci fi movie

@fernie2 well I do not agree with vaccine passports. Discriminatory and too much state control.
i plan to get vaccinated and im not a democrat.
I'm not sure...I do not trust that enough is known about long term side effects. We've been used as guinea pigs many times. I'll either get a shot and risk it...or I will never leave my house again or let anyone in. We have to make some crazy ass decisions these days

I want moderna so I’ll sit and wait for that one but I’ll do Pfizer if it is available. I’m not doing J&J cause that’s practically a 50/50 crap shoot.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Keepitsimple You mean, AstraZeneca? Or actually J&J?
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
@Elessar J&J

To me, politics have nothing to do with it. I know plenty of Repubs who have or are getting vaccinated, in any event. A friend recently died of Covid-19, and that has a big effect.
