When will these pain pills kick in?
My tooth hurts like a mother and can’t get it operated on for a week so was prescribed pain pills. It’s been an hour and my tooth still has this sharp pain. When will the pain meds kick in?

Sometimes holding cold water in your mouth against the offending tooth for as long as you can bear can help, as can brushing the gum above the tooth to make it bleed which can help release pressure. These were recommended to me by a nurse as interventions. Obviously don't damage the gum though.
