Does your health coverage look like this?

While you are tempted to feel sorry for sick old man. Spare a thought for the million or so Americans who cant access this care and question priorities.😷

Agreed, a man who denied the Virus existed, convinced his loony fans of same thus exposing so many more than would have been exposed... then he turns round and gets access to facilities and meds that most Americans would not have been able to afford or access. .bloody hypocrite

@Adaydreambeliever it’s disgusting
sunnydaze · F
@Adaydreambeliever Thank You. This is really pissing me off too. Makes me question what kind of country I'm living in.
SmartKat · 56-60, F
“But in other countries you have to wait for healthcare!” 😱

In the U.S. if you can just pay the whole thing out of pocket, no problem - they’ll take you right now.

Me, I have to pay $700 a month in premiums, a 40% copay, and spend $7500 of my own money on the deductible before my insurance will pay a dime. It will take me a lot longer than a year to save up $7500.

And I had better make sure the insurance company bean counters like the doctor and the hospital or facility, or they won’t pay. Oh, and the insurance company bean counters get to decide if I really need the treatment. After all, their bullshit MBA degree makes them more knowledgeable than people who went to medical school for six or eight years.

Thank god I’m pretty healthy — so far.

@whowasthatmaskedman 900$ Won’t buy much in a hospital lol
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Catzgano Not once the administrators salary and shareholder dividends are paid, I agree.😷
SmartKat · 56-60, F
@Adaydreambeliever That’s what I have heard - from people who actually live in countries with real healthcare systems. Urgent priorities are taken care of promptly.

I’d rather wait a little longer for an elective procedure, if it meant it didn’t cost as much.
morrgin · F
I wouldn't expect a president to get an average hospital room. What I do expect but rarely get is someone who has that luxury but realizes others don't and so they work for better standards of care for everyone.
@morrgin That would be a reasonable expectation of someone with empathy. Trump has always been largely lacking in that department.
smiler2012 · 56-60
whowasthatmakedman yes it should be free health care for all
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@smiler2012 I agree. Not for "socialist" reasons either. A healthier population is simply cheaper and more productive and efficient over its life.. Its a shame Capitalism has such a short term focus..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman And it’s further proof that many people here don’t know what socialism is. Our public schools, firefighters, police and EMTs are all funded by the state. Basic healthcare similarly funded would not be that much of a stretch.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard I agree. I watched the original "Obamacare" process with dismay as a simple, effective idea was turned into a Frankensteins monster by Senators and congressmen pandering to lobbyists. More to the nations shame as the core of it already existed in the VA program. But there was no profit for the corporate interests..😷
Seriously, I’m not a bit worried about him. He will have the best possible care, even as he screwed up the healthcare of millions of Americans so that they’re all vulnerable and struggling during this pandemic that he largely dismissed.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
Every president gets that
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MrBrownstone I accept that.. And I accept the President is important. (Even this one) But watching his "team" of medical people filing out for a news conference, I can help but wonder if its right. And if it is, what it says about the nation and in particular the health care workers in the overcrowded hospitals where the voters have to go.😷
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@whowasthatmaskedman You can change the channel
BigImo · 22-25, F
*laughs in free health care*
@BigImo Just make sure Boris doesn’t let our president talk him into using our pharmaceutical companies.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
Even if it did it looks very old and very outdated. Bet he’s miserable there.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Keepitsimple Actually with the Chandelier and all I would have said it suited him. Tacky, tasteless and just a little unsanitary.😷
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
@Keepitsimple
Bet he’s miserable there
He's miserable wherever he goes and whatever he does
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Adaydreambeliever And as usual, its always someone elses fault.😷
ammelee · F
I pay 12 000k a month for healthcare and have to fight in hospital to have them follow proper hygiene practises /we pay up /boost the medical aid/for the rest who cannot and we are reaching the end of our rope
and
I'm talking about private hospitals... state owned is a death trap
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M

ammelee · F
