To people who don't know the difference between droplets infections and airborne ones, COVID19 is a droplet infection

It’s odd
I’ve heard some say COVID is airborne which explains its rapid spread

But I’ve never taken any airborne precautions (n95 mask/goggles) and I haven’t been infected
I work with COVID patients and my employer only provides equipment for droplets (surgical mask/ face sheild)

I know
And I think me ad my co-workers are proof that at least the virus doesn't commonly spread by airborne particles
But I am worried about the new highly contagious variants coming from Vietnam and India
I’m considering upgrading to wearing an n95 mask, why not have the added protection
Although I’ve had both my jabs so I’m a little more confident

@Rickg I'm fully vaccinated but still wear a mask in public for my safety, but also for others' safety. Even vaccinated I can still get covid and we know some asymptomatic carriers can pass it on.

Absolutely @Graylight

132 doctors from 39 countries disagree. The investigation into transmission is far from over.
DrSunnyTheSkeptic · 26-30, M
@Graylight According to WHO there is no sufficient reports of aerosol transmission yet

@DrSunnyTheSkeptic [quote]WHO is assessing ongoing research on the ways that COVID-19 is spread and will continue to share updated findings.

Below is only a sampling of the studies they're investigating indicating airborne transmission. It matters little though, since almost everyone agrees 6 feet was more a comfort measure than and effective distancing method. Droplet transmission can happen at better than 80 mph and travel for dozens of feet:

@SW-User I've become a bit lax, I used to go crazy and wipe every surface with alcohol wipes, now I just wash my hands and wear masks

ew... droplets 🤢 imagine if these droplets became... airborne! 😱

@DrSunnyTheSkeptic thereabout, yep. of course you could have it placed anywhere, floor to ceiling, when planning to build.
DrSunnyTheSkeptic · 26-30, M
@pentacorn interesting, our AC here in Bulgaria are always near ceiling level, unless it's one of those big fridge like ones
pentacorn · F
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic that's probably better, depending on whether you're cooling or heating. plus it wouldn't be as likely to pick up and pull through dust from the floor in front of the vent.
