Think back to Feb. and compare . The flu does not wipe out avnursinf community because of one nurse, nor would it exhause and kill men in 30s and 40s who ski for fun in Italy.

As of May 1, Remdisivir was granted emergency status to be used in hospital emergency rooms to treat COVID 19. It has an high success rate in assisting with recovery. I credit remdisicir with the success rate - 65%- (non deaths) but all hospitals should have access to this treatment. I’m not sure what it is... but the numbers are wacky.

Of course the masks and gloves work.Thats logical. The variables related to use of masks - ignorance- too great. Sustainability - impossible for masks.but in the off chance you are exposed within 14 days to someone with a virus, it’s better than no protection and the flip side of course is true. You have the virus? Please contain it by not spit talking everywhere and wear a mask.

@SWisGoingWoke that is crazy. We’re doing okay, because we were shut down... we’re doing okay because we did a small partial reopening, slowing down again, the depending on case loads will reopen again ... it will be a turn on slow down, dance for a while. It’s difficult to do on a massive scale.
Yes if the hospitals are making money the will accept patients.

We currently have [b]no[/b] covid-19 infections, and have not had any for 71 days

Obviously, it’s neither impossible nor unattainable

This was achieved by outstanding leadership, universal free healthcare, and a cohesive society (we call it our team of five million)

So, how are things in the States?

@Mindful Also, keep in mind that hospitals are being paid more $$$ when they have a China Virus case, so they are reporting anything that moves as being infected...sometimes twice. People that have dies in car wrecks are being reported as having died from China Virus.

@Mindful Why get tested if you are not sick? Because everyone around here is running around screaming how people are "asymptomatic" and even though you feel fine, you're not only sick, you're infecting everyone you walk past, like Typhoid Mary. It's not true.

People tend to see catching China Virus as being a death sentence. They act like it's equivalent to catching Ebola with a 90% death rate. It's not even as deadly as the common flu that goes around every year.

Does it make you feel like crap if it really hits you hard? Yes!
Does it really suck to die from it? Yes! But few do.

The best way forward is NOT to hide in our holes in the ground, but for everyone to catch it, and get over it, and develop herd immunity. Otherwise, we're just delaying the inevitable.

Coronavirus causes breathing difficulties.
Now if you already have Emphysema; Asthma; Bronchitis; COPD; Lung cancer; Cystic Fibrosis; Pneumonia........ THAT'S when it's deadly !
That's why you need to follow protocols and keep everybody as safe as you can.
