Have you lost or know SOMEONE who lost a loved one to covid-19?

I've had two friends die with Covid-19 identified as a contributory factor.

1. Was a diabetic with complications. He'd had a leg amputated then caught covid-19 during his recovery and died.
2. Second had state 4 lung cancer only after death did the hospital say he had covid-19. I think he'd have died anyway sadly.

A coworker lost her father to covid 19 in a nursing home.
A cousin lost his father to covid 19 after his wife infected him and then recovered.
I had 4 close relatives who had it, including my mother, all recovered.

Both my parents tested positive for COVID 19, but luckily they recovered.
A close friend of mine lost his father recently unfortunately.

One of my uncles in HK contracted it but thanks to the amazing efforts of the Doctors and Nurses thankfully survived it 🙂

I got a message from a friend last night that adds to the list. She is in her mid-30s, married, with two small children. All of them got infected more than a month ago, the children had mild cases, but she and her husband are still somewhat ill and feeling the effects, after a second flare up. She said he has lost a great deal of weight and is very thin now.

His parents both got infected. His mother had moderate symptoms, but his father died. She thinks the second flare-up she and her husband had may have had to do with when her husband, after recovering from the original infection went to help his widowed mother and may have been reinfected.

And one other concern. She is pregnant.

Yes, one friend has lost her Dad and there have been 3 people pretty local to me.

No one personally , but 9 employees at my neighborhood Kroger supermarket have tested positive and 2 have died. I hate going there now.

Not died, but risked. Luckily they never got severe severe, just needed additional oxygen for a while.

I did ;( One of my uncle and my coworker was admitted but he recovered.

I don't know anyone who has even had it.
