Should I be more worried?

A couple of my friends and one of my siblings have been sharing with me about the coronavirus and how they are really scared and they asked if I have been following the news and I say NO because I already about it and know they precautions to take. I don't want to feed my mind with worry when I have other things that I have more control over. Am I not ive for not worrying? I don't know now I am questioning myself
Go to the CDC site for the basic facts and none of the hype. It’s dangerous for those with lung problems, diabetes and the elderly. So far in the US it is not spreading quickly. Hopefully like other strains of SARS it will vanish with the coming of Spring.

Wash your hands properly and often and dont touch your face.
JaneCas · 26-30, F
@NeuroticByNature Yes, I have my hand sanitizer with me and don't shake hands etc.

@JaneCas hard sanitizer doesn't kill viruses just bacteria,fyi.Soap washing does.

@Butterflykisses24 Well I wash my hands often too. :)

Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do put doesn't help anything. Best not to worry as stress compromises your immune system.

worrying is not planning and planning doesn't need to include worry.
worry is useless, You are not wrong in not worrying.

@TwiddlerofThumbs Thank you! I need some validation related to it, I feel like I have just been going on about my life without really thinking of it but being aware of it.

I think maybe checking to see if people are getting it close to where you are is helpful. You'll know when to take your caution up a notch. But, if you are a worrier, it will just make that worse.
JaneCas · 26-30, F
@SW-User I am a total worrier and pretty anxious in general so that's why I am avoiding watching the news about it but I am aware of it so I think that's enough info I need.

@JaneCas yeah. Just follow protocol. Not really anything else to do anyway.
JaneCas · 26-30, F
@SW-User Yea I know I guess I feel a lil strange not worrying about it

I think you are doing great. The cdc website is awesome. If you are being careful with your own cleanliness, hand sanitizer, clorox wipes and so on, and you avoid touching your face, you should be okay.

Stay 3 feet away from others, and even further from people who are coughing. Try not to go to crowded events.

@4meAndyou Thank you!! :)

You should be concerned.
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
I think you still have more chance of being shot or killed in an auto accident... What precautions do you take with them?
JaneCas · 26-30, F
@ozgirl512 Totally agree! :)
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@ozgirl512 This is an ordeal that just might affect you or someone you love. And if it hits home it won't be an accident. 😐
Zonuss · 41-45, M
No. Just be prepared and aware. 🙂
