Why is smoking marijuana acceptable by 80% of you people, yet smoking cigarettes is unacceptable by 75%?

I do neither anymore, my opinion has changed over the years
BlueVeins · 22-25
Probably because nicotine is chemically addictive, unlike marijuana.
SW-User
@BlueVeins no proof marijuana is not, i believe it may have been proven emotionally addictive in tests in the past
BlueVeins · 22-25
@SW-User "Emotionally addictive" is meaningless; you can get emotionally addicted to fucking carrots or cardboard. Likewise, you can't prove that either of those things aren't chemically addictive because you can't prove a negative.
Because pot heads don’t stink up public areas with their smoke.
"You people" is such a confrontational and accusatory word

@Pinkstarburst i'm going off the people that voted on here. And i chose it for a reason.
@SW-User Pretty judgmental. Both are personal choices and, in many states, both are legal. Just let folks do their thing...if they are not blowing it in your face then who cares.
BitterSweetPotato · 31-35, F
I doubt very much that this is true! Where did you get these figures from?
SW-User
@BitterSweetPotato my quick little survey on here.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
In Canada the government is militant about cigarettes. Dozens or rules an by-laws, packaging rules, warnings on packages etc... but people can weed has much less rules. You can smoke weed in public, but I can't have a beer in public, no fair!

@JimboSaturn and quebec industries are protected, the teat leading the country will go out of his way, violate ethics for 900 quebec jobs and place rules to guarantee no investment ever comes to alberta, watch 170000 good jobs leave and say the economy is good because 180000 mcdonalds part time jobs came available.

I don't like trudeau, i would've voted ppc if i didn't want to do my part in making sure he was gone
The "fly in the ointment" and it hasn't yet to my understanding, reared its head, but that's the anti-smoking lobby, who IMO won't differentiate between tobacco and marijuana.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@soar2newhighs I wonder if there's a link between the anti-smoking lobby and the refusal to legalise marijuana? I've a feeling that's more than just your opinion. I suspect you've found the hammer we've been looking for and hit the nail right on the head with it.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
Where did you get those figures from? Smoking cigarettes is unacceptable by about 25%, and 24% of them are our dictatorial government. The average person in the street accepts smoking cigarettes as a normal thing that people either do or they don't. I used to smoke myself although I quit in 2017. Nobody said it was unacceptable before then.

@Crazychick i'm going off my survey on here moments ago
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@SW-User What survey? It's not very accurate.
It's the littering I can't stand. Pick up your butts!!!!!!!!
MrAboo · 36-40, M
I like weed a lot better, cigarettes are only a temporary substitute
ShaythePanTransMan · 22-25, T
Because weed is awesome and nicotine is the devil’s drug that does nothing good for you.
Cigarettes stink a lot worse. I don’t smoke either anymore.
[c=#359E00] because cigarettes doesn't make people high[/c]
