Any runners in here deal with plantar fasciitis?

It's been been a consistent issue for me lately.

Ohh yes. Lots of things help...massage, stretches, ice bottle rolls, arch supports, and a night brace. I did put Lidocaine patches on my arches/heels at times.

@pentacorn Unless i want burned eyes?

@Foxyfoxfox @Foxyfoxfox any particular brand you recommend?

Get a tennis ball. Run the arch of your foot over it back and forth nightly. If that doesn't work look into a scraper and the Graston method. If you don't want to buy a scraper, a butter knife will work. It will hurt but it does indeed work.

@RJoeStarz Look it up in regard to plantar fascitis. The Graston method is used on many different areas and conditions.

Very interesting, it's supposed to straighten the tendons? The pain is unbearable at times... mid run. Have you tried the scraper or graston method and has it worked for you?
Tomorrow56-60, F
@RJoeStarz Yes. And yes.

yep. post-run Oofos recovery sandals help a lot. i also wear Birkenstocks casually. i have very high arches/bony feet.

@RJoeStarz read reviews on sizing. i think they run a slight bit small for women and a slight bit large for men. they're pretty reasonably priced, i think. i hope they help.

@pentacorn Thank you so much, that was very helpful .

@RJoeStarz anytime. :)
I had it bad...had to get orthodics to wear in my shoes....that's about the only treatment that worked for me.
RJoeStarz46-50, M
@FigNewton And that helped with the running?
@RJoeStarz Until I got shin splints and stopped...lol. But it helped with just the walking....I had it pretty bad and still wear the inserts.

Stand on a curb with your toes and lower your heels. Hang onto a stop sign or something.
RJoeStarz46-50, M
@Success Good one. I also try and grab my toes in a sitting position and pull, that helps too but still painful.

@RJoeStarz A week of rest, then.
