If you run, what motivates you?

For me, it used to be competition but now I just enjoy it at any pace.
LilPrincess · 41-45, F
Being chased
trackman11 · 61-69, M
@LilPrincess ahh! I’m seldom in that situation but encourage you to stay in shape until you want to be caught. 😀
LilPrincess · 41-45, F
@trackman11 looks like I will be running for awhile 😂
pentacorn · F
i don't run anymore (fibro), but i still walk at a brisk pace. i like the endorphins.
MethDozer · M
@pentacorn 👍️.... You're a good egg.
pentacorn · F
thanks, @trackman11. :) the endorphins help manage my pain.
pentacorn · F
@MethDozer so're you! been knowing that for, like you said, years now. maybe around about 5 years now! happy anniversary, baby! 💋
NeloAngelo · 26-30, M
i have a bad habbit of procrastinating and end up cutting things close. 😅
NeloAngelo · 26-30, M
@trackman11 Hmmm 🤔 you make a good point. i think i can get to the train station in 2 minutes. need to cut through some old ladies garden tho.
trackman11 · 61-69, M
@NeloAngelo fair enough. A short cut through the carrot section could save you a lot of unnecessary training! Lol
NeloAngelo · 26-30, M
@trackman11 Yes Sensei 🙏
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Nothing motivates me more then the Red and Blue lights behind me... Except when someone sicks his Doberman onto me.
trackman11 · 61-69, M
@Thevy29 I get that and Doberman would be the most immediate motivater. 😀
Fauxmyope2 · 26-30, F
I just feel better and more energized when I do. I have done something positive for myself and it clears my mind.
trackman11 · 61-69, M
@Fauxmyope2 all great motivaters! I hope you run regularly. 😀
Fauxmyope2 · 26-30, F
@trackman11 I do and TY.
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
Not so much running happening in my life these days, unfortunately. 😅
trackman11 · 61-69, M
@thepreposterouspanda a lot of people, actually most, don’t run so no worries, but sorry if it’s something you wish you could or we’re doing.
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
@trackman11 It's all good! I've actually been disabled since 2010, so I don't think it will be something I do much throughout my life haha. I do use my exercise bike a good deal though. :)
trackman11 · 61-69, M
@thepreposterouspanda sorry about your disability but glad you are able to and do use the bike.
tallpowerhouseblonde · 31-35, F
I'm preparing to take my 4th dan karate black belt so I'm barefoot running each day.
trackman11 · 61-69, M
@tallpowerhouseblonde wow. That is good motivation. Congratulations on your success so far and good luck going forward. Keep it up. 😀
tallpowerhouseblonde · 31-35, F
@trackman11 Thank you.
Melpomene · 22-25, F
Happy hormones
and no one will talk to me while I'm running
trackman11 · 61-69, M
@Melpomene I agree with both. Can be a great escape. 😀
usually an urgent need to find a toilet
trackman11 · 61-69, M
@saragoodtimes ahhh. I have found with my age if I’m running for that reason, it’s too late! I know. Enough on that topic. Lol
SW-User
Good nights sleep, coffee and music 🎶
trackman11 · 61-69, M
@SW-User I never developed the habit of running to music but can see where it would help motivate. Sleep is very important.
CaptainKirk · 41-45, M
The copper chasing me
trackman11 · 61-69, M
@CaptainKirk I hope your pace is faster than mine or the “copper” is slower. Lol (of course maybe I should be cheering for the officer) 😀
Mogli1 · C
For keeping my weight
SW-User
trackman11 · 61-69, M
@SW-User I will add that to my list! Lol
tenente · 100+, M
trackman11 · 61-69, M
@tenente this is why I always run with someone slower!
MethDozer · M
Someone bigger and harder or the police.
trackman11 · 61-69, M
Excellent motivaters! @MethDozer
