Should I go into work?

I have had anxiety issues for years now but recently it’s been extreme. It’s gotten to a physical point where my neck gets really stiff and uncomfortable. Almost like my head has become too heavy to carry. It feels like it’s just going to roll off or my neck is going to snap. But I know it’s just my anxiety. My chiropractor says it’s a pinched nerve and my anxiety working together to cause the strain. I’ve been seeing a therapist but we barely started. I’m still working on ways to calm down. Right now my neck aches a bit on the sides and my boss asked me to come in last minute for a few hours. I work at an elementary at an after school program. I’m not sure if I should go in. I do need the money and I feel bad saying no. I just feel very nervous.
Going to work will be a great diversion. I struggled with major panic attacks for years. Now it just cycles through maybe two times a year.

I just go to Urgent care and get a small quantity of a benzo, just having them around.

If you think you can make it through the day despite the anxiety, then yes. If you think you're more likely to have a breakdown, then no.

If you are accustomed to luxuries such as eating, electricity, roof over your head, then you have to go in.
