Are you approachable when you have a bad head cold?

I'm definitely not. I know that now. I had someone ring up to book an appointment with the Doctor. (I work in the doctors as a receptionist.) His face had swollen up painfully since lunch time. It was 1pm when he called, and he wanted an appt to see the Doctor on Wednesday. I tried to explain that he couldn't get a Doctors appt for a week and that it sounds like he should get someone to take him to the ER right away. Then I hung up. And only realized awhile later that I should have gotten his name...
