Does going to see a chiropractor actually help or am i better off getting a massage?

It depends on the relief you’re seeking. If it’s a bone configuration you seek, go to a chiropractor.

Muscle aches/sprains are often solvable by masseuses.

Perhaps a consult is in order.

I would opt for the massage but that's me.

They are two different treatments. Massage feels great and gets the juices flowing, breaks up lactic acid crystals, drains the lymphatic system, etc.
Chiropractic re-centers the spinal column taking pressure off the nerves.
I have received both monthly for the past 30 years and am in great health compared to others my age. Not me talking, but any doc that gives me an exam says that. They seem disappointed that there is nothing for them to treat.

Probably a message. I’ve heard some chiropractors just make it worse.

It depends if it's spinal, or just deep tissue.

I've heard acupuncture can work for some people.
