Do you ever get into working out, but reach a point when you feel like nothing’s working? (Please read details)

I’ve been working out regularly for maybe a month or so now. Not trying to lose weight, I just want to build muscle and get a bit more toned.
Lately, I finish working out feeling like I didn’t really do anything. I don’t get the soreness in the morning like i would weeks ago. It leaves me feeling very unmotivated. Does anyone have any tips on how to overcome this?
Sorry if this post doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, I don’t really know much about fitness.
Ah, I did this year's ago, also trying g to lose weight tho.

It took months to see results.

Apparently women take longer to develop muscle tone, it's the fact we have less testosterone or something...

You'll get tjere.
Don't get disheartened.

Keep at it, and then all of a sudden, one day, you'll see it.!

That makes sense. Ill see a little bit of a difference, but then it doesn’t look like much has changed at all. It’s just so easy to get bored and impatient with it.
Thank you for your comment!
@KatieKatze Mmmm, I gotcha.

All else I can recommend is..
Music.

Amd remember to do your weights SLOW!!!

Some go bull at a gate and think it's better, it's not.

You work your muscles more when you do it slow, and tjeres less chance of injury risk.

Your body has become accustom to your routine ,,if you wan to feel like you did when you started you have to do more in your routine ,,,

I don’t think it’s worth that much, I’m healthy enough that this is a hobby more than anything else. I don’t really have the means to seek out a trainer. I just wanted to come on here for possible tips and insights on how to keep motivation up throughout the process. If nothing else, it’s helpful to vent about frustrations to anyone willing to listen.
@KatieKatze @mountainman1234 has the best advice here.

Even if you have to pay for just one session, it's worth what you will learn.

Routines have no limit.
You start off lifting
X amount of weight say 10 reps, work upto 20 reps, then you increase the weight and go back to 10 reps again.
Increasing all the time.

This is just an example...

@KatieKatze Everything one does means something ,,even a Hobby ,, if you like the results you are getting then continue as you are maintenance is still needed ,, but it would not hurt to increase things jus ta bit ,,,
and agreed venting is good and there are some of us that do not mind being a sounding board ,,Take care ,,
Plus, work out one day, next day rest.

It's important to rest between... What you ate actually doing when you build muscle, is tearing it, amd it needs time to recover.

Recovery time is jist as important as the working out bit.

If you need to do it everyday to stay motivated... Say, do legs one day, upper body the next.

your muscles get stronger and used to lifting after a months time and no longer get sore. you just keep getting stronger and muscles keep getting bigger. try creatine punch mix before your weightlifting sessions. you will get more muscle gains with it. thats what I use. works well for me and for many others too. 😺

Keep increasing the intensity. Keep challenging yourself. Keep changing the routine after a few weeks.
Best of luck.

If I may add, make small term and measurable goals ,work towards them.
If your aim is to get toned, it’s indefinite. You will lose interest. If you’re tracking and working towards a definite goal, achieving those little milestones will keep you motivated.

Because you would have a mans body and it would make you ugly@KatieKatze

I don’t think choosing to be fit and wanting to build muscle will make any woman ugly. Personally, I think it’s admirable to want to look less like the “traditional” woman and more like someone who could actually defend theirselves if necessary (which is what I’m going for). To each their own, though.

Soreness is not indicative of the quality of a workout, so don't worry about that
